Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone is interested in re-writing the Sunday Scool Curriculum for 2010?

Any ideas on how to improve on what we have now?

Yes, I'd be interested to help out. I think we need a complete rehaul of the current curriculum.I cant comment about all of them but for Grade 2 we have topics such as Soddom & Gommorah and Hagar and Ishmail which lead to the kids asking questions about how Abraham can have two wives etc..When do we need to be available to help out?Let me know.By the way the forum is such a good idea!

Thanks Carol and Peter for joining the forum!

I was planning to bring this up at the next Sunday School Meeting.(not this Sunday 12/07/09 but the next 19/07/09)
I remember we discussed it about 2 weeks ago, but nothing was ever mentioned about a follow-up... so i decided to openly discuss it in this forum.

I thought maybe this way we can get some input from our Abounas or from some parents?

As a guideline though, I don't think we can re-write the curriculum  - as it was approved by His Grace - but perhaps just re-order the lessons to be more aligned with our calendar, and feasts etc.

Bishoy and Shereen showed interest in it the last time we discussed this, and i'll add your names to this list!

Hi Peter and Peter, Uncle Fowzy did say that each year level had lots of stories to choose from and you can tick which ones you like and order them in the correct order. I would like to have lessons on Pentecost during Pentecost rather than two months down the track (as an example). I'm happy to help out with that, just tell me the time and place and I can help out or even if ywe organise it by email that works for me as well.
