Our CommunityThe Good Samaritan Foundation, is an exciting new service that our church is starting.
The aim of the foundation is to provide support and guidance for new migrants that want to become part of our church. We have helped make the transition of many families, couples, and individuals migrating to Australiain a smooth and easy process by organising accommodation, work (temporary or permanent), childcare or minding and even transport before they arrive.
Some of the services we currently provide include:
- Assist in finding accommodation close to the church (close to public transport and easy access to the CBD)
- Assisting in transport licence, and registration
- Providing shopping and general food stuffs
- Providing guidance with general everyday integration into the Australian culture and environment.
- Assissting in childcare and care facilities
Some of future planned services include:
- Short courses in the English language - Verbal and Written
- Short courses in Computer skills and Word Processing
- Short courses in Small Business workshops
- Welfare and Counselling services
